Acoaxet Pt. Side Trip
The Westport Rivers Winery Loop & The Sakonnet Vineyards Road Ride are the only two rides that connect on this map. Don’t despair! You can still get plenty of gorgeous riding and long luxurious miles in with the connecting route and the side trips. It’s hard to go wrong on the South Coast, there are loads of gorgeous back roads to explore.
It’s a really good idea to bring a larger street map or a Rubel Bike Map of the area along with you.
Here’s one really nice route that connects the two tours:
From Hixbridge Rd. on the Westport Winery Tour:
- After leaving Paradise Hill Farm
- Turn L on Hixbridge Rd,
- Cross Rte 88 and continue straight to the end of Hixbridge
- Turn R on Main St
- Take your first L on to Adamsville Rd. at the intersection of Westport Harbor Rd
- Turn on to Westport Harbor Rd for the Acoaxet Pt side trip and follow cues in green below or continue following the connecting route cues in black.
Check out Greys Grist Mill and the country store that houses NE’s first Post Office.
