Rosemary Jason searching for a good cover shot at Westport Rivers Winery Hungry Nomad Maps are researched and designed by Rosemary Jason, the creator of Pocket Rides Bicycle Maps. One of Rosemary’s favorite things to do is to ride her bike around and eat. She also likes to cook delicious meals with all the food she hauls back from farms and vineyards found along the way.

When she’s not riding around scavenging for food she is banging her head against the wall trying to design the Hungry Nomad Maps web site or working as a professional cook to support her mapping habit.

Rosemary worked as the production manager and travel editor at The (now defunct) Ride Magazine, a regional cycling magazine, for six years. After spending way too much time in front of a computer she decided to go to culinary school. This led to five years of cooking at Oleana Restaurant in Cambridge where she learned about local, farm fresh food and how to cook it in an excellent kitchen.

Rosemary decided that it was finally time to combine her passion for food, cycling and travel into one career. So she waited until the economy tanked and designed Hungry Nomad Maps, a project that she had brewing in the back of her head for years. And there you have it, what better time for good cheap fun!
